Your ultimate goals can be achieved if you develop at least 5 attributes.
* You must have a thick skin: Any time someone says no to you, it might seem offensive. Jealous people don’t want you to get ahead–they try to demean you . If you learn to “fluff it off”, you’ll find yourself much more successful in the long run.
Duck feathers are tightly grouped. They actually repel any moisture that they come into contact with. If you wish to be successful, you’ll hear a certain amount of negative criticism from others–Treat it like water on the duck’s back–let it roll off. This way you’ll be better prepared for the jealous people.
* You must learn to be obedient: Usually this relates to children and their superiors. But, if you want to be in a leadership position, then you have to learn to follow –or obey–another leader first. Be loyal to that leader and they will show you the way.
Fortune 500 Companies have great leaders–at least 175 CEOs are former us Marines. And 27 US Presidents served in the military. This comes from learning to obey orders and following a good leader. It teaches you to understand what commands and orders do to help operate an organization.
* Being courageous: Home of the Brave–but hopefully –home of the courageous too. There are brave people all over but it takes moral fortitude to be courageous. This means making the right decision even when faced with adversity.
When you have courage, you follow through on your vision. It’s on display every day and only the courageous have the ability to get the most out of life. When you have the strength of your conviction, find the courage to put it in to action. You won’t be sorry you did.
* Be Intolerant: This may sound like it doesn’t belong here but it’s meant for certain things. There’s a lot of injustice and immorality out there–and you must be intolerant of that. To be successful you have to learn what you should tolerate. This will give you a better insight to become the person you hope to be.
Sense of Humour: if you don’t have a sense of humour, you will fall flat on your face and never be someone who succeeds. A good portion of the road we walk to success is filled with blockades and potholes. If you come up against one and go down, you must have the ability to laugh at the situation and yourself. If you don’t, you will be angry and bitter about your misfortune and never move past it. Laugh at yourself and what you run up against and you’ll find your climb to the top is quicker and more enjoyable than you thought it would be.
